FAQs
What size is for me?
LOINS fit true to size with a supportive, contoured cut. If you're between sizes, size up — the organic cotton has natural give that softens with wear without losing its shape. Check the size guide above for waist measurements if you're unsure.
Why is LOINS worth the price?
Cheap underwear costs more than you think. Harsh dyes. Microplastics. Chemical finishes … a toxic stew of endocrine disruptors cooking your boys all day long.
But don't take our word for it, click here for the research (the clinical studies are compelling).

Why organic cotton for underwear?
Underwear sits against your most sensitive parts for nearly 24 hours a day. Conventional underwear is made with synthetic fabrics, chemical dyes, and plastic-based fibers — many of which have been linked to endocrine disruption, skin irritation, and hormone interference. (click here for the research ... the clinical studies are compelling).
Organic cotton is different. It's grown without pesticides, processed without harsh chemicals, and breathes naturally — keeping you cooler, drier, and cleaner all day.
Your skin absorbs what touches it, and scrotal skin is up to 42X more absorbent than the rest of your body – this is why our pouch is lined with 100% undyed organic cotton.
For the main construction, we use a 95/5 blend that incorporates 5% BPA/PVC-free Elastane – this is for shape and feel ... if the main construction was cotton only, it would hang too loose and not feel right.
Why organic cotton instead of bamboo or modal?
Bamboo and modal sound natural. They're not – at least not by the time they reach your body.
Both are semi-synthetic fabrics made by dissolving plant pulp in a chemical bath that includes carbon disulfide — a classified neurotoxin linked to neurological damage, cardiovascular disease, and reproductive effects.
The processing is so chemically intensive for apparel like underwear that the FTC actually requires these fabrics to be labeled "rayon" or "viscose" — not bamboo. Some brands that market them simply as "bamboo fabric" have been fined over $3 million for greenwashing violations.
And that soft, silky feel? It's not bamboo. It's chemically regenerated cellulose. That's why they feel artificial. The natural properties of the bamboo plant – including any antimicrobial benefits – are eliminated in the process.
The supply chain isn't clean, the marketing usually isn't honest, and at LOINS we don't think "probably fine" is good enough for the garment that caresses your boys and most absorbent skin.
Organic cotton grows clean. It processes clean. And with GOTS certification and OEKO-TEX certified dyes, we can prove it at every step.
No greenwashing. No neurotoxin–based processing. No compromises.
What does GOTS Certified mean?
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard — the gold standard for organic fiber certification worldwide. It means the cotton used in LOINS has been verified organic from seed to fabric, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, and processed without harmful chemicals at every stage of production.
It's not self-reported. It's independently audited. When you see GOTS, it means someone outside the brand verified the claim.
What is OEKO-TEX Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an independent certification that tests every component of a fabric — fiber, dye, finish, even the thread — against strict limits for harmful substances.
That includes pesticide residues, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and chemicals linked to hormone disruption. The standard is tested against baby-product safety limits — the most stringent available.
For LOINS, it means the dyes touching your skin have been independently verified to be clean. (Even still, remember, our crotch liner is UNDYED, 100% organic cotton).
